You can delete your Majlesna account and the personal information associated with it at any time. You do not need the app installed to do it.
Option 1: Delete It Yourself, Here on the Web (recommended)
Go to majlesna.online/account , sign in the same way you sign in to Majlesna (your Google account, or your email and password), and choose Delete account permanently. Nothing is sent to us to action by hand. You do it yourself and it takes effect immediately.
This page is for people who already have a Majlesna account. You cannot create one from it.
Option 2: Delete From Inside the App
- Open Majlesna and go to your profile tab.
- Open Settings (the gear icon).
- Choose Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when the app asks you to.
This permanently deletes your account. Once confirmed, you will be signed out and your account can no longer be used to sign in.
Option 3: Ask Us by Email
If you can no longer access the app, email us at [email protected] from the email address linked to your Majlesna account with the subject “Account Deletion Request”. Please include your Majlesna ID (if you know it) so we can locate the account. We may ask you to verify that you own the account before we process the request. This protects your account from being deleted by someone else.
What Happens When Your Account Is Deleted
Your account is closed and the personal information on it is erased or replaced with values that cannot be traced back to you.
- Your profile stops being visible to other users. Your name, photo, gender, date of birth, bio, country and notification token are erased, and your email address and account identifiers are replaced with an irreversible one-way hash.
- Personal information associated with your account is deleted or de-identified, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, transaction records we must keep for legal, accounting, security, or fraud-prevention purposes), see our Privacy Policy.
- Virtual items and membership benefits associated with the account are lost and cannot be restored.
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
- Messages you already sent to other people, and records of gifts and transactions, remain: they are part of someone else’s history or are records we are required to keep. They are no longer linked to a usable profile.
